New cabin in Nirivia

In 2005, a new cabin 12x20' is under way at Armour Harbour. The cabin will have a terrific view out to the Armour Channel. It will serve 2-4 guests. Construction began under the direction of Nirivian, Stanley Stevens this past summer. Work proceeded into the fall with Steve Clifford and Nirivian 'cum laude' Russell Evans putting the final enclosure up. We expect the cabin to be useable late in the summer of 2006.

Islands Magazine a prestigious US magazine has pleasantly lampooned the island nation of Nirivia in Lake Superior in the December 2000 issue. Calling Nirivia 'the island that is only a notion' is difficult to take since it comes from a magazine that is only a potion for holiday dreamers all over North America.
